If you think Hearst Castle® is spectacular on its own, wait until you experience it on a five-story screen! This companion film highlights the Castle’s rich history and surroundings, as well as the inspiration behind the construct of this architectural masterpiece. Hearst Castle: Building the Dream, was produced exclusively for this Theater. Breathtaking original cinematography combined with vintage clips and stills from the 1920’s and 30’s allows visitors to experience the building and background as well as important moments in Hearst Castle history on a five-story screen. This popular film is also combined with The Experience Tour. This original 40-minute film begins every 45 minutes; first showing at 8:15 am. The lobby of National Geographic Theater is home to an impressive display of 17th century tapestries from the Hearst collection.
