North Wing Casa Grande Tour | The Hearst Castle, San Simeon

Tour Three provides an overview of the construction and development of the Hilltop by contrasting the earliest guest house with the most recent addition, the North Wing. Included in tour three is:

The North Wing of Casa Grande which houses 30 rooms on four floors, including 10 bedrooms, 10 baths, five sitting rooms, and five miscellaneous rooms including a theater, billiard room, projection room, gun room, and beauty salon.

Casa del Monte a guest house that consists of ten rooms on the upper level including four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a sitting room and a lobby.
The North Terrace which is rarely seen. It includes an unfinished area of the Castle that was to become the estate’s Grand Entrance. The North Terrace construction started in 1929, but sadly was never finished due to the Great Depression.
The Neptune and Roman Pools are highlighted on all Hearst Castle tours.
Tour Three finishes with a short film that demonstrates the vast amount of change and complexity involved in the creation of the castle, using photography and film from the 1920’s and 1930’s.
Tour Three will last approximately one hour and 45 minutes including a bus ride to and from the Castle.
